Our Services
Dr. Roy has an Advanced Therapeutic Optometry License and provides complete eye exams, including computer assisted refractions, evaluation and treatment of eye disease and minor injuries, and evaluation for laser and cataract surgeries. He offers contact lens fittings of all types, including bifocal contacts and contacts for astigmatism, using a computerized corneal topographer.
Dr. Roy also provides evaluation and treatment of Visually Induced Motion Sickness (also known as GSSS). Unlike the more common car sickness which usually requires actual movement, Visually Induced Motion Sickness can be triggered just by seeing movement. Let us know if you have motion sickness problems. It might affect your ability to wear progressive invisible bifocals.
Our optical department specializes in frame styling to compliment your lifestyle, and can provide specialty eyewear for computers, golfing, racketball, and many other sports.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
We recommend that all children have their first eye exam starting at the age of 4, and then every year after that. Many problems such as Amblyopia can only be corrected when a child is young. Some children who have reading problems do much better with the proper glasses. The sooner the problem is corrected the sooner they can catch up.

Young healthy adults should have their eyes examined every 2 years and adults over 40 should be checked every year. Diabetics and people with a family history of eye disease should be checked at least once a year.
Facilities and Equipment
Dr. Roy has recently acquired the Optos Retinal Scanner imaging system. This advanced laser scanner takes a widefield image of the inside of the eye. Unlike other retinal cameras the Optos allows Dr Roy to quickly view a much wider picture of the retina to help him detect defects or disease such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, retinal lesions and vascular changes.
