Daniel P. Roy, O.D.
Dr. Roy is a graduate of The New England College of Optometry in Boston and has been in practice for 45 years. Upon graduating Dr. Roy spent three years as a Captain in the US Army, 101st Division, providing Optometric eye care to soldiers, dependents and retirees at Fort Campell, KY. He is a member of The American Optometric Association and The Maine Optometric Association.
A native of Sanford, Dr. Roy is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his private practice in Sanford, Dr. Roy was on the Board of Directors of the Maine Prevention of Blindness organization and was Chairman of the York County Prevention of Blindness organization. For 25 years he was an adjunct clinical instructor for the University of New England Osteopathic Medical School, assisting in the training of their medical students. Previously, Dr. Roy was an adjunct associate professor for the Indiana University College of Optometry, teaching clinical optometry to 4th year optometry students. As of Sept 1st, 2023, Dr Roy will be retiring and devoting his time to his friends and family. |
